‘Roscoe’ is a superstar in the making! He is a purpose-bred eventer and in fact the last foal by super sire Stirling Sprite.
During the past three months, Roscoe has competed almost every weekend at dressage, showjumping and ODE days. He thrives on the competition atmosphere. Roscoe’s first ever ODE was at Horsley Park (Sydney) in July, where he placed 2nd in the Introductory class against some very experienced event horses, scoring 67.2 % in the dressage, and clear rounds in both SJ and XC.
Being extremely quiet to ride and handle, Roscoe doesn’t need consistent work, and at only 4yo is showing great ability and trainability. Stirling Sprite was ridden at Grand Prix showjumping level by Olympian Vicki Roycroft. He in turn is by Salute, sire of many international dressage, eventing and showjumping horses. Double Cream is also up there amongst the top jumping sires with Seoul Olympic 3DE horses - Trade Commissioner for Australia and Casson Road for Korea under his name. Exclusive Native on Roscoe’s dam side has also proven to be a very handy jumping line.
Roscoe is a pleasure to have around and always an enjoyable ride. He would suit anyone ranging from an amateur wanting to have a lot of fun, right through to the most serious competitor reaching for the highest level.
